This derivation makes apparent that light quanta are not independent and distinguishable from each other. Einstein applies Bose\u2019s method of light quanta to a material gas. This explains the thermal behavior of bodies at low temperatures and predicts a new state of matter, the <q>Bose-Einstein condensation,</q> which is produced in the laboratory for the first time in 1995.</p>
