Text__asKhEKOcEd-WfYQ0GneCwQ_text=<p>After World War II and the Holocaust Einstein keeps his distance from Germany. </p><p>All attempts by various scholarly organizations to recover him as a member are destined to fail. </p><p>Since its re-opening, decreed by the Soviet occupation, it is called the \u201CDeutsche Akademie der Wissenschaften zu Berlin.\u201D </p><p>After the seizure of power in 1933, its predecessor had seen \u201Cno occasion\u201D to regret Einstein\u2019s politically motivated resignation. </p>
