Founded in November 1914, it pursues the goal of quick peace and a European order designed to prevent war. </p><p>The organization formulates petitions to politicians and supports pacifists under political pressure. </p><p>The Bund Neues Vaterland is prohibited in 1916, but resumes its work after the war and is renamed to <i>Deutsche Liga f\u00FCr Menschenrechte</i> (\u201CGerman League for Human Rights\u201D) in 1922. </p>
