Text__hzhI0KOdEd-WfYQ0GneCwQ_text=<p>In 1866 Werner von Siemens built the first functional dynamo and thus established the foundation for the development of electrotechnology.</p><p> The distinctive feature of this dynamo is in the armature\: It sits fixed onto the drive shaft and is constructed in the shape of a disk that spins between four solenoids.</p><p>Siegmund Schuckert, founder of the Company <i>Schuckert & Co</i> in Nuremberg, first built this machine in 1874 and presented it at the Paris Electricity Exhibition in 1881.</p>
