Text__keIxcKOcEd-WfYQ0GneCwQ_text=<p>Carl von Ossietzky (1889-1938) is chief editor of <i>Weltb\u00FChne</i>, and one of the most influential, critical reporters of the erosion of the Weimar constitution.</p> <p>After a report on secret armament activities, he is accused of treason.</p> <p>Many well-known people, including Thomas Mann and Albert Einstein, stand up for him.</p> <p>He is sentenced to 18 months prison. After an amnesty is granted, he is released after half a year in Decemebr 1932.</p>
