Just download the *.app file and put it into Applications folder

To install Arboreal on Microsoft Windows:

 1. You will need a recent version (1.4.1 or newer) of the Sun Java runtime for Windows. If you don't already have it, download it at [http://java.sun.com/j2se/downloads.html java.sun.com]
 1. Download the latest Windows package of Arboreal ({{{arboreal-win.zip}}}) from the [wiki: Download] page.
 1. Extract the contents of the {{{.zip}}} file. You will need a program such as [http://www.winzip.com WinZip]
 1. You should now have a directory (folder) called {{{arboreal}}}.
 1. To start Arboreal, open the {{{arboreal}}} directory, and double-click on the {{{arboreal}}} program {{{arboreal.exe}}}.

 1. Sorry, there is not yet a nice icon for Arboreal on Windows!


 = Linux/ UNIX =
For these platforms, Arboreal has to be compiled from source. Either get the respective tarball or check out the source code. Additional to Java compiler, you will need JFlex which you can get from the [http://www.jflex.de/ JFlex homepage] or as a package in your Linux distribution.
