Mac OS X
Just download the *.app file and put it into Applications folder
Windows
To install Arboreal on Microsoft Windows:
- You will need a recent version (1.4.1 or newer) of the Sun Java runtime for Windows. If you don't already have it, download it at java.sun.com
- Download the latest Windows package of Arboreal (
arboreal-win.zip
) from the Download page. - Extract the contents of the
.zip
file. You will need a program such as WinZip - You should now have a directory (folder) called
arboreal
. - To start Arboreal, open the
arboreal
directory, and double-click on thearboreal
programarboreal.exe
. - See the Configure instructions for configuring Arboreal.
- Sorry, there is not yet a nice icon for Arboreal on Windows!
Linux/ UNIX
For these platforms, Arboreal has to be compiled from source. Either get the respective tarball or check out the source code. Additional to Java compiler, you will need JFlex which you can get from the JFlex homepage or as a package in your Linux distribution.
