Installation of ArcGIS on a Mac

• Install Virtual-Box (VB)
• Create a virtual disk within VB of at least 20 GB!
• Create a host on VB, install here Windows (I did XP)
• Import all Updates, Servicepacks etc.
• Install .Net-Framework 3.5 SP1 incl. Updates (.Net-Framework 4 does not work with ArcGIS 10!)
• Mount the ArcGISDesktop...iso to the host (1. under "Massenspeicher" include the CD/DVD-ROM, 2. select the appropriate *.iso)
• Install ArcGIS as required
• Install the ArcGIS-License Manager
