The Search Block

Probably the most important tool in the ChinaGIS GUI. It lets the users find out what kind of data is already in the system and who created it, and lets them, if the access rights allow to do so, open and use the data/objects.

Functionality

• search all accessible tables/maps available
• open the searchresults in new blocks
• preview the search results
• add the search results to the workspace's resource list (if it isn't already) by clicking the 'bookmark' button next to each search result entry
