1 Changes to DESpecs 1.1.2

WS presented the document which will lead to DESpecs 1.2. It contains more detailed instructions for parts already present in the current version as well as new features.

1.1 More detailed instructions

Tables The rules for tables now take care of elements spanning more than one cell and also large table elements.

Dotless i A note is now in the section of characters that are to be typed directly how the faulty i, which occurs very frequently in one text (see below), has to be typed.

1.2 New features

Indexes and Tables of Contents There will be rules for list-like constructions which contain blank spaces in the middle of a line.

Astronomical symbols Common astronomical symbols have been added to the characters which are to be typed directly.

Fraktur There was already an instance of fraktur in one text. Some more rules will have to be added.

1.3 Waiting for Unicode

A list of characters which are not yet in Unicode will be kept (e. g. alchemic symbols). As soon as one of these characters is included in Unicode, the corresponding character can be added to the XML-document.
