Q Please see Bion_1723, page ​410, ​413, ​418, ​435, in our opinion, we code the above pages as on figure per page and put the Fig 1, Fig. 2 in to separate <desc> and code the variable names for each small figure as one <var> per small figure，is it right? If not, how to code them?

A The pages consist of many small figures, and the main text refers to these small figures. However, sometimes it is difficult to tell the small figures apart. For this reason, we follow your suggestion to mark each of these pages as a single figure. However, if you can identify a description as the caption of a small figure, we would like you to use <cap> instead of <desc>. Please find find some examples below.

Please note:

• Contrary to the DESpecs, you can use more than one <cap> in <fig>.
• Make sure that you type the complete text of the figure.
• However, identical captions or descriptions should be typed only once. An example is ​Bion 410, number 22. (On the other hand, identical variables should be typed as often as they occur, for example <var>7 1 7 2 2 9 9</var>.)
• In <var>, insert a linebreak between groups of variables, e.g. for every separate object, even if two or more objects share the same description. An example is ​Bion 410, number 10.
• This instruction applies only to Bion_1723.
